The project involved the upgrade of the existing Ken Rosewall Arena in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. The demolition of the existing roof structure had to be carried out in a careful structural sequence to ensure stability throughout. The new steel work was partially assembled on the ground and lifted into position in order to speed up construction and ensure a safe working system. The works were carried out to a high standard of finish and achieved the extremely short program set for the project.
