This project involved the construction of the new Victor Trumper Stand at the SCG on the site of old Yabbas’ Hill.  The site is enclosed by the playing surface on one side, adjacent stands at both ends and Fox Studios. All materials had to be double handed by tower crane onto the site.
After the old hill was removed, 600 piles were installed, the superstructure is reinforced concrete and the cantilevered roof incorporates 600 tonnes of structural steel.  The stand provides seating for 12,000 patrons, private corporate facilities, a 500 and a 200 person function rooms, plus additional bar, food and toilet amenities. 
This is a modern, first class Grandstand facility which was constructed in 20 months.
