This was one of the most heavily regulated projects in recent times, requiring reporting to infinite interested parties including NSW Health Infrastructure, the EPA and service providers of critical infrastructure, with the principal contractor reporting to key stakeholders and neighbours including an operational daycare centre, brain injuries unit, acute services department and an operational helipad. This was compounded by neighbouring principal contractors operating on neighbouring building envelopes, public safety issues including traffic management of numerous operational internal businesses and constant air monitoring during the removal of hazardous substances, adjacent to a natural eco system bordered by a flowing river. All of this seemed to be taken in the project team’s stride. A pleasure to judge.
