Located on Crown Street at Surry Hills, the centre is a (4) four level building comprising a two level Library, Community Centre, with large function rooms, teaching commercial kitchen, computer and language laboratory,26 place Child care facility and public domain improvements.
The site team faced extreme difficulties from day one as no access was allowed from Crown Street which meant that thorough planning and co ordination of all deliveries was required to minimise disruption and ensure safety to the community during the entire project.
This project had a wide variety of detailing and large number of specialist finishes this meant that extensive planning and co ordination was required to deliver the high quality finishes and architectural detail that was designed.
The building design incorporates innovative environmental systems and the whole project has been constructed to a very high standard of workmanship under very constrained site conditions.
