The design and construct team for the refurbishment of 100 Market Street Sydney required increased natural daylight penetration into the existing office floors, to create an architectural façade element and connectivity between floors. 
A very innovative solution was developed by producing two glazed atrium stairwells in the southern elevation of the building that were fire engineered using fire curtains, fire rated glass and drench wetted glass security to provide tenancy separation each of the five floors in the building.
All three objectives were very successfully achieved with these glazed atrium stairs.
