The federal government has announced a $1.2 billion extension of it’s apprentice wage subsidy program.
The Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements wage subsidy program (BAC) will be extended for 12 months for new apprentices and trainees who are signed up before 30 September 2021.
From the date of apprentice signup, businesses will receive the 50% wage subsidy for 12 months, up to $7,000 per quarter.
This is great news for our industry and follows advocacy from Master Builders to extend this very successful initiative. The extra cash injection is expected to create about 70,000 apprenticeships, on top of the 50,000 the scheme helped create since launching in September last year.
Find out how you can access government subsidised apprentices through Master Builders Apprenticeship Service. Our apprentices and trainees are of the highest quality and have been coached, trained and are ready to work. We also look after claiming and administration for training employers who will receive funding under BAC.
