An exciting milestone has been reached in icare NSW’s funding of the Injury Prevention in Construction initiative.
RMIT University in collaboration with Master Builders Association (MBA) NSW, the Australian National University, and the NSW Centre for Work Health and Safety have developed a training tool to enhance safety-related communication and behaviours among construction apprentices.
Trialled by 294 construction apprentices, the innovative digital role-playing game garnered positive feedback, with 71% reporting new learnings and 81% expressing intent to apply the training content in their workplace.
The game’s success has sparked interest in incorporating it into industry training programs, with opportunities for construction organisations to trial and provide feedback.
If you’re interested, please sign up to take part in this survey by contacting Jack Clarke from RMIT or Yeong Lee from icare.
