The NSW Government has amended the Building Legislation Regulation 2023. The aims of this regulation include amending the Building and Development Certifiers Regulation 2020. The amendment extends the Regulation to 30 June 2024. It also amends the Design and Building Practitioners Regulation 2021. This amendment enables a body corporate without a contractor licence under the Home Building Act 1989 to gain registration as a building practitioner. Further, it introduces minor and transitional amendments to the Building Legislation Amendment (Building Classes) Regulation 2023, which rectify minor policy inconsistencies and drafting mistakes.
