As Members would be aware, significant parts of New South Wales as well as other States, have already and are currently experiencing catastrophic bushfires.

These bushfires have caused loss of life to the human and wildlife populations. They have also caused devastating losses to homes, buildings and essential infrastructure.

Master Builders members will play a crucial role in helping communities rebuild and restore affected communities.  

To that end, we attach a “Bushfire Affected Sites – Mitigation Checklist”.  This checklist is designed to operate as a guide for Members and is set out in a sequence that contractors can approach the work to be undertaken.  It is not an exhaustive list of considerations given that local conditions can vary significantly.  However, the checklist should serve as a helpful starting point for building contractors engaged to commence work in bushfire affected areas.
