Master Builders Association of NSW (MBA) & Liverpool Boys High School are working together to deliver a Department of Education SBAT pilot project to the Year 9 & 10 Construction students in Term 4, 2020.
This Pilot Project will be a hands-on, project-based training program that will provide an opportunity to learn transferable building industry skills while building something useful and lasting for the school community.
While we remain in a Covid-19 environment, non-essential personnel are not permitted within the school grounds as per advice and instruction from NSW Department of Education. During Term 3, Master Builders Association will be providing construction trade apprenticeship information to the students in preparation for the hands-on portion of the Program to be delivered in Term 4.
As part of this process, Master Builders will also be surveying the candidates to find out more about them and what career path they are both interested and suited to so we can assist them to source work experience and apprenticeship opportunities either during school in a School Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship or on the completion of their schooling as a full time apprentice.
There will be 3 or 4 units of competency delivered by Master Builders Association Education and Skills Development team, a Registered Training Organisation. These units will be foundation units for most construction trade apprenticeship courses.
We will continue to add information, photos and relevant survey results and articles to this page.
Stay tuned for the next update!
